After months of cold winter without any snow, it finally snowed so much at once that they had to cancel church one Sunday! So Ryan took the boys around the neighborhood to help our neighbors shovel their driveways clean.
The Duke even got in on the action with the shovel Tate got for Christmas.

On Feb. 11th, Tate had his 5th birthday, complete with the traditional scavenger hunt for his presents. Here he and Kaden Winters and Grant are looking for the next clue in the toaster oven. As usual, there was a great deal of screaming and running around during the scavenger hunt.
Luke did his best to be adorable and, as usual, succeeded on a grand scale. Just look at those rosey, slightly wind-chapped cheeks!
Tate's big present was a Razor scooter! He's since put a lot of miles on that baby and has managed to not hurt himself in a crash yet (knock on wood). It probably helps that he's generally very nimble and light on his feet.
When Erin asked Tate what he wanted on his cake he said, "Batman and Robin... and stars!!" Then the morning of, he wanted to add a rubber snake that he had gotten from preschool, so on it went. He found the result quite satisfactory!
