Back to life

It seems like I am starting to blog on a monthly basis so I have made a resolution to update more frequently. We are back in the swing of things with Ryan's school semester and me working here and there. So far the semester hasn't been too bad but I think Ryan's tests start next week so I'll probably be seeing a lot less of him soon. I've only been working the minimum 24 hours a month because I get pretty cranky when I lose any more sleep than that requires. I rarely get to sleep before or after work with a baby who will only nurse (he thinks anything we give him through a bottle is probably poison and gets mad if we think about trying it). I've been wanting to update the blog for the past week or so but have been sucked into the Stephenie Meyer vampire books and just finished the third a couple of hours ago, I guess that means I can go on with my life now...they are quite addicting.

This past weekend was fun. My parents came down for Friday night to see Grant and let Ryan and I go out for the night. We wanted to go see Harry Potter at the outdoor theater but of course Friday was the one night of the summer that it rained. Instead we did the next best thing and hung out at Barnes and Noble (we're geeks) and got dessert at Maggianos. Can I say their apple tart and chocolate cake were Delicious! Thinking about it makes me want to make a cake...must clear mind. My mom got Grant the cute Bumbo seat and he really likes it. I think he feels like one of the adults now that he can sit up and look at us.

Grant loved hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa and says they can come down and babysit him anytime they want!

Nana gave Grant this play book when we were out in Utah visiting. Grant really likes it because it is not only great reading but a wonderful chew toy.

One day after church Grant was wrestling with his pajamas and ended up partly dressing himself. He was so pleased as you can see.
